Section 1 - grounding

Psalm 94:19
When my anxious thoughts multiplied,
your comfort filled my soul with joy.

Tensions are rising, do you feel it? If you do, good. This is often evident whatever you are doing is working, angering the very one, (the antithesis, the opposer, the (many) satan) who is attempting to hold you back in the first place. God does have a plan for your life, it is not up to you or I or anyone to tell you what that is, only that it is often not what you expected. But when God places that call upon you and you take up your cross and go after it is only to be expected that you will face the desert which may include temptations, adversary thoughts, negative people, and waning self image. Know that you are not alone in the body of believers. And that one, who is our very lord has gone through much worse in the desert, than you will ever experience, and he always gives you an out because "There hath no temptation taken hold of you but such as is common to man. But God is faithful; He will not suffer you to be tempted beyond that which ye are able to bear, but with the temptation will also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." but when suffering is too great, remember to call upon him and let him guide you towards the path he has set out before your life was ever born.

If you don't feel this, maybe its not your time, you may be in a season of joy, or maybe you are still figuring it out (which does one ever really figure anything out) again, know there is a body of believers and you are not alone. A word of advice (My own brain often works against me, one of the brilliant quirks God imbued upon me. so I do this myself) Sometimes its okay to walk outside, take a break, touch grass as they would say. Refresh your thoughts and come back clear headed.

These resident thoughts are mine and rambling but in sync with the times we live. I leave you with a quote from the great C.S. Lewis.

"There is no safe investment. To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal.
Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket—safe, dark, motionless, airless—it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. The alternative to tragedy, or at least to the risk of tragedy, is damnation. The only place outside Heaven where you can be perfectly safe from all the dangers and perturbations of love is Hell."

C.S. Lewis, The Four Loves

Section 2 - thoughts and ideas

Should You Even Be a Christian Artist?
Asking the (not so) age old question.

Section 3 - exploration

Love Song, the band behind the Jesus Movement, I genuinely cannot get enough of this group, extremely underrated. Melodic harmonies, paired with a mix of soul, country, and classic rock that can't be found anywhere else. Listen here.

Section 4 - action

There is a cost to making something honest, and it does not disappear just because the work is done for God. (We all gotta eat), real criticism and intentional design takes time nobody else is paying for, and whether a publication like this lasts or quietly dies in someone's inbox almost always comes down to the same thing, whether enough people decided it was worth keeping alive.

If that means something to you, become a paid member here, it costs little and it gives much.
