This week, we’re continuing our 3-part, 21-day series on productivity.
If you’re new here, welcome! Here’s a quick explanation: during this series, we’re using spring as a time to reorient ourselves around our goals and take action toward the changes necessary for both artistic and personal success.

But first, let’s get into this week’s news.

Art 123: The Week’s Top Creative News & Stories From Our Team

The MET Supporting DEI Against The Trump Administration
The recent turmoil of protesting against the Trump administration and established regulations against academic freedom, freedom of speech, and diversity politics, leading by Harvard University, which stands strong so far against the government’s threats to cut federal funding…
Lights, Camera, Algorithm!
By now, it’s unlikely that you haven’t seen the endless AI-generated Studio Ghibli portraits. It’s ironic that Hayao Miyazaki himself famously said, “I strongly feel that this is an insult to life itself…” during a presentation of an AI animation project.
Secrets & Lies: The Weight of Empathy
Mike Leigh’s acclaimed drama expresses the intensity and catharsis of seeing those around you as full, complete people.

Week 2: Rebuild

After spending last week cleaning and organizing your life its time to use your new space make success inevitable. Life is all about daily habits, in order to fully tap into that creative sprit I find that there are some actions, when implemented correctly. That can help lead to a smoother day, which leads to a smoother week, etc etc.

No-Nonsense, Goal-Inducing Habits

  1. Sleep and wake up at the same time every day.
  2. Eat well & move as much as possible.
  3. Be okay with being inconsistently consistent.

These can be tough, I started last week really strong trying to get my sleep in check and then fell off. That’s normal. The key is to keep going. You will fail at first when trying to improve your habits and move toward your goals. What matters most is getting back on track. It’s far better to read three times a week for 15 minutes than to read daily for a week and then stop entirely.

Don’t neglect physical activity. A healthy body supports a sharp, creative mind. It doesn’t have to be extreme, even a 10-minute walk makes a difference.

Your Turn:
As we enter Week 2, choose one habit you’ve been meaning to build, whether it’s moving your body, getting better rest, or carving out time to create. Keep it simple and sustainable. Remember, consistency beats intensity every time.

Progress doesn’t come from being perfect. It comes from showing up, again and again.

Next week, we’ll close out the series with Week 3: Level Up. A deep dive into systems, mindset, and momentum. You’ve cleared the clutter and started to rebuild. Now it’s time to push forward.

See you next week.
