If you are ready you can go ahead and dive straight in and start listening, but for those who want a little more background on the qualification for a song to land here, I will break down my methodology. Before I say what this music is, I must first say what this music isn't — this is not praise and worship music per se (although some songs may fit within that classification). The only methodology I use to create this playlist is that the artist is making the song for God, which could mean outright praise or something more contemplative. For the skeptics, it's important to remember that Job cursed the day he was born (Job 3:1), and even Christ our Lord quotes from Psalm 22:1 when he cries out to the Father. I believe an artist's ability to open up raw emotion into their music is what separates the general genre of worship music from the broader idea of Christian music, and from the even more expansive idea of music with Christian and spiritual lyrics and meaning.
